Terms of Service

Last updated: February 2026

1. Services

HasFocus provides smart contract security auditing, protocol review, and related advisory services. The scope, timeline, and deliverables for each engagement are defined in a separate Statement of Work (SOW) agreed upon before work begins.

2. Client Portal

Access to the client portal is provided to authorised personnel of contracted clients. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

3. Audit Reports

Audit reports are confidential deliverables provided to the contracting party. Public disclosure of audit reports requires mutual written consent unless otherwise specified in the SOW. HasFocus may reference the engagement (client name and scope) for marketing purposes unless the client opts out.

4. Limitations of Liability

Security audits reduce risk but do not guarantee the absence of vulnerabilities. HasFocus provides findings and recommendations based on the codebase at a specific point in time. We are not liable for:

  • Vulnerabilities introduced after the audit period.
  • Issues outside the agreed scope of the engagement.
  • Financial losses resulting from exploits, whether or not they relate to audited code.
  • Decisions made by the client regarding remediation or deployment.

5. Payment Terms

Payment terms are specified in the SOW. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are due within 14 days of issuance. Late payments may incur interest at 1.5% per month. HasFocus reserves the right to pause work on engagements with overdue invoices.

6. Intellectual Property

All audit tools, methodologies, and internal processes remain the intellectual property of HasFocus. The client retains ownership of their codebase. Audit reports are jointly owned: the client may share them freely, and HasFocus may reference findings in anonymised research with client consent.

7. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information exchanged during the engagement. This obligation survives termination of the engagement for a period of two years.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement with 14 days written notice. The client is responsible for payment of all work completed up to the termination date.

9. Website Use

The content on this website is provided for informational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, we make no warranties about the completeness or reliability of any information. Use of educational resources (blog posts, tutorials, research) is at your own risk.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction of HasFocus operations. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal proceedings.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
